ASG-Deskside — Passkey sign-inPlanned

Touch the fingerprint reader instead of typing a password.

Unlock will let people sign in to applications in the Cameyo session with the passkey on their own device — a fingerprint or face on the laptop, or a security key — and the sign-in completes. It is planned, and the use cases we hear about decide when it ships.

Where it fits

Built for the work your people already do.

Password-free sign-in

Legacy applications that still ask for a password, unlocked with a touch.

Shared workstations

Quick, personal sign-in on counters and clinic desks.

Step-up checks

A fresh touch before a sensitive action in the application.

Unlock is shaped by the first customers who need it.

How it works

Three steps for the user. Nothing new to learn.

The application in the Cameyo session is unchanged. ASG-Deskside does the work at the desk, and sends only the finished result into the session.

01

Open the application

It asks for sign-in as usual.

02

Touch the reader

On the laptop, keyboard or security key.

03

You’re in

No password crosses the wire.

Planned

Next in line for ASG-Deskside.

0

Biometric data that will ever leave the device.

Standard

Built on WebAuthn passkeys at the endpoint.

You

Your use case moves it up the queue.

Security

Safe by default.

  • The fingerprint never leaves the device. Only a signed proof does, as with any passkey.
  • Same shape as every ASG-Deskside capability. Off by default, enabled per application, fails closed.
  • Nothing on the server. No agent or biometric software on the session host.

For your IT team

Turning it on takes two steps.

Unlock will follow the same pattern as every other ASG-Deskside capability: the extension at the desk, and one tag on the application.

Configuration settings

Set on the Cameyo application (or server, group or account), one per line. Every ASG-Deskside application also carries the extension ID and channel tags; we set these up with you.
